Product Description Deep tubs can pose a problem for short people or youngsters, when trying to stand up. Even with non?slip accessories on the bottom, the reach and grip can be difficult, particularly for the elderly. Make your bath and bathroom safer with a bath safety grip handle for the side of the tub. This handy feature allows for a secure grip by any size hand, and is designed to make a comfortable hold for those with arthritis. Provide that extra stability and security that your family needs for their own safety, with this easily mounted handle that detaches and packs away for travel, too. Suction attach, no tools necessary. Fits any tub/shower. 12 inches long. Each suction foot is 3 inches in diameter. Handle is 1 inch wide for easy gripping.

Waste of time and money! August 29, 2010 Doll This was a total waste of time and money! I have a tiled shower.I cleaned the tile and let it dry. I followed the directions. It stayed on the tile for an hour and 30 minutes before falling and waking me up at 1 am! I would tell everyone that this product is a fraud and it is being falsely advertised! Shame on Amazon for selling it with all of these bad reviews! Do not use this product especially around children, the disabled or the elderly. IT DOES NOT WORK!!!
Did not work! August 28, 2010 rusty Sounded like great idea, so bought two. Installation was easy (as noted). I followed all instructions. All seemed OK till it fell off in the middle of the night. Tried again. Failed again. Tried the second one, twice,as well. Again failure. Both now in the trash.
Too bad.
Poor Suction; Not Good for Tiled Surface August 24, 2010 amazonaddict The bar has decent suction, as long as you place it on a completely smooth surface. If you put it on a tiled surface, be sure that the suction cups are not on any of the grouted cracks, as the bar will come off easily if you do. The bar also doesn't do as well with vertical suction.
The manufacturers note the bar only has TEMPORARY suction capabilities, therefore this is not a good choice for individuals who will be relying heavily on the bar. Due to the temporary suction, it is likely this bar will eventually come off when someone puts their weight on it. I wouldn't use this bar for an elderly family member.
akcs30usnret July 26, 2010 akcs30usnret Product meets my expectations. Being used daily. Does exactly as the Mommy Helper Grip. Don not need to buy the 3-set kit unless you need a duplicate size.
works as expected July 2, 2010 Emmeline G. Pankhurst (South Texas) I purchased this item before I had knee surgery and I found that it works as described in the instructions. It doesn't hold forever but it is easy to re-attached it whenever you see the red indicator.
If you take a second to check that it is secure BEFORE getting into the tub or shower, you should be fine.
I still use it even after my knee finished healing because it is handy.
