| Customer Reviews: 800 Thread Count Seems Unlikely January 10, 2010 J. McConkey (CO, USA) When I first opened these sheets I thought they felt great and was impressed with the seams, but after washing them the fabric felt rough. Granted the sheets have a nice thickness to them, but they feel like 250 thread count. They also didn't even come close to fitting our mattress, which is a 16 incher-corners pop off every night. I am also not sure about the care----"dry on low and remove while damp and for best results iron". Too much work for a set of itchy sheets if you ask me. I would return them if I hadn't already washed them and thrown away the packaging. The only saving grace about these sheets is how cheap they were.
Good, but nothing to write home about July 20, 2008 Geof (Raleigh, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These sheets are ok, nothing great. They are a little rough to be Sateen and they're heavy but at 800 TC they should be. We've only washed them once so we're hoping they soften up a lot. The fitted sheet is supposed to fit an 18" mattress, our mattress is 16" and the sheet pulls off the corners every night. They won't fit an 18" mattress pure and simple. For the price we can't complain too much as the sheets they replaced were Hilton Hotel sheets and they didn't fit either at 4 times the cost. These sheets seem to be made ok but only time will tell on the durability.
Awesome Sheets September 5, 2007 Alsia K. Aze (Ypsilanti, MI USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I always go to bed with a smile now... I literally slide between these sheets! They are heavier but still breathable, and have withstood multiple washings and even kitties with claws racing across the bed and playing in them without any problems due to the dense weave/high thread count. A little heavy for summer maybe for most people but I love them all year round. I have the burgundy and the color is great and hasn't faded.
Liked the quality January 9, 2007 R. Pongracz (San Francisco) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So far, I found the 800 count Egyptian cotton sheets rather luxurious. I actually returned the wine and only bought the taupe. I found the color rich and the sheets felt durable and had a nice sheen. After one washing, so far, the fabric seems to have retained the quality. Overall, I"m pretty happy with the purchase and also the service in being able to return the color I ended up not wanting.
