So my daughter has a twin mattress that she is complaining isn't comfortable anymore. In an effort to avoid spending hundreds on a new mattress we thought we'd try putting something soft over it first. I opened the box and immediately noticed that the package it came in isn't a whole lote bigger than a packaged sheet set... not promising so far. So I take it out and it's not any thicker than a regular mattress protector, not a thick gel filled pad that will help you sleep better. Yes, the fabric it's made with is soft to the touch, but the gel (which I now see described as "gel fibers" in the description, whatever that means) is non-existent. I folded it back up and put it back into it's little zipper bag, I'll be returning it and buying a memory foam topper.
If you're looking for a mattress protector or cover, this will be great with it's super soft fabric. If you're looking for a mattress enhancer, look elsewhere.

I got this mattress pad and love it. Could tell the difference right away in the bedding, and have the gel pillows to go with it. Having the best sleep I have in years. Now if you have a 20yr old mattress and are looking for the new feel, your not getting that, what you will get is a pad with some extra in it that makes what you have just a little better! Love it, getting more at this price for my family and an extra for myself!

This is a GREAT product. My son has tried to steal my bed it so comfortable now. I am ordering him one for his bed. The Gel filled matteress pad makes you feel like you have bought a new bed. My bed is so soft now, I WILL recomend this product to anyone who will listen!!! Thank You.
